4 years ago, I saw a photographer working to photograph some guys doing Parkour in Auckland. I recognised the photographer and I was in too much awe to go over and say hello as I held him in high regard.
The next year, I visited the said photographers exhibition called 'Alter Ego' and enjoyed the exceptional portraits so much, I even bought his book (the luxury version)!
Fast forward 3 years, I've been following and enjoying his work and I was quite surprised and delighted when Jocelen Janon noticed my notification of Wet Plate Collodion workshops in the Bay of Plenty and sent me a request to join up.
12/09/15 Jocelen, with an extensive background in photography, film and digital, came for a wet plate collodion workshop hosted by me - I was humbled to be teaching one of my favourite photographers about an aspect of photography. We talked about photography, about life and drank a good beer - of course we made some plates.
